On Friday, October 26th, 2018, the Belize Bureau of Standards hosted an Award Ceremony to announce the winners for the World Standards Day 2018 Slogan and Poster Competitions.
The winner of the Slogan Competition is Mr. Gian Witz with the submission “Protection, Promoting & Improving Development.” Mr. Witz won $500 cash prize courtesy of Magils Mexican Products Limited.
The winners of the Poster Competition are:
~First Place: Bernice Diaz who won $600 Cash Prize ($350 courtesy the Development Finance Corporation and $250 Madisco), $100 Gift Certificate courtesy Karl H Menzies, and $100 Gift Basket courtesy Grace Kennedy~
~Second Place: Glenford McFadzean who won $300 Cash Prize courtesy Belize Natural Energy Ltd., $75 Gift Certificate courtesy James Brodies, and $50 Gift Basket courtesy Santiago Castillo Ltd.~
~Third Place: John McFadzean who won $250 Cash Prize courtesy Caribbean Chicken, $50 Gift Basket courtesy Santiago Castillo Ltd., and Bluetooth Speaker courtesy GS Com~
~Most Liked Poster on Facebook: Antwan McFadzean who won $250 Savings Account courtesy Atlantic Bank Ltd. and a Wall Clock courtesy Caribbean Tires~
