The Belize Bureau of Standards (BBS) in collaboration with the Department of the Environment (DOE) on the 28th and 29th of January 2020 facilitated a two-day technical workshop on biodegradable and compostable materials in an effort to strengthen understanding, interpretation, and application of the proposed standards for these products in Belize. Sessions were held for both Public and Private Sector Entities by ASTM International representative Dr. Kelvin Okamoto.
