On the 18 & 19 July 2019 the Belize Bureau of Standards (BBS), Standards Officer, Mr. Salim Hoy participated in an awareness training on ISO 14001 – Environmental Management Systems hosted by the Department of the Environment and conducted by Consultant, Mrs. Sheryl Anderson from Quality System Solutions Initiatives (QSSI) based in Jamaica.
The training in ISO 14001 environmental management system was designed to help regulatory agencies implement and audit an organization’s system to international standards and to become aware of the best practices for conducting inspections to ensure impartiality, respectively.
