In commemoration of World Accreditation Day 2018, the Belize Bureau of Standards partnered with the Belize Agricultural Health Authority and the Citrus Growers Association – Citrus Research and Education Institute to host a seminar under the theme Accreditation: Delivering a Safer World. Presentations at today’s seminar highlighted the importance of accreditation in ensuring safer food and placed special emphasis on the two entities journey towards becoming accredited. Today’s event provided an opportunity to highlight the Citrus Research and Education Institute’s Plant Pathology Diagnostic Laboratory in their recent accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025.
