On Wednesday 18 November, 2020 at 10.30 am AST, join Senior Electric Utility Managers from Belize, Jamaica and St. Kitts and Nevis – Mrs. Sheena Kuylen-Simpson, Manager of Systems Planning & Engineering at Belize Electricity Limited; Mr. Lincoy Small, Director of Systems Operation at the Jamaica Public Service Company; and Mr. Jonathan Kelly, Engineering Manager of St. Kitts Electricity Company, as they share experiences, lessons and learnings on the impact of renewable energy integration on their respective grids, with focus on a variety of cost‑performance parameters.
They will also provide perspectives on how the integration of additional renewables, necessary for the fulfillment of plans and the attainment of targets on clean energy within their countries, could be achieved most cost‑effectively, with attention to the increasing requirement for attention to energy security and resilience‑building.
Dr. Devon Gardner, Head of the Energy Unit at the CARICOM Secretariat, will host the session.
