The BBS through support from BSI’s Phase 2 of the Standards Partnership Programme, held three (3) half day sessions on February 26th & 27th, 2025 with public and private stakeholders of the hot sauce, honey and coconut sectors. Phase 2 of the programme is designed to provide direct support to public and private sector stakeholders in the implementation of the National Quality Policy at the National Level. In October 2024, a National Quality Policy (NQP) Workshop was held where stakeholders were introduced to the NQP and invited to give their input and in November 2024, Cabinet approved the creation of the National Quality Council.
The NQI Implementation Matrix Sessions are a continuation of the work that begun in October 2024 at the National Quality Policy Workshop. The goal of these sessions is to collect data identifying strengths and weaknesses in the Quality Infrastructure System across the various sectors. This data will inform an implementation plan per sector. Follow-up consultations are planned to capture as much data as possible.
