The Belize Bureau of Standards (BBS) was proud to join ministries and departments from across the government yesterday at the Belmopan Civic Center for the opening of National Public Service Week 2026.

This year’s Public Service Information Day was held under the inspiring national theme: “Transforming Public Institutions – Advancing Innovation, Participation, and Inclusion.”

Advancing Innovation through Quality

At the BBS booth, our team had the incredible opportunity to connect directly with the general public, students, and fellow public officers. We showcased how the core pillars of Belize’s National Quality Infrastructure – Standards, Metrology, and Consumer Protection – actively drive innovation and ensure fair trade across our country.

Visitors to our display engaged with interactive demonstrations with our equipment, learned about our calibration services, and discovered how everyday standards impact the safety and quality of products in the Belizean marketplace.

We extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth to learn about the BBS’ mandates and shared their feedback. We also applaud our fellow public officers across all government departments who continue to serve Belize with dedication, pride, and excellence.
