DESCRIPTION:📊 BBS Celebrates Statistics Week 2026!  \n🇧🇿 On 13 June 2026\, the Belize Bureau of Standards (BBS) was pleased to participate in the Public Exhibition hosted by the Statistical Institute of Belize (SIB) in celebration of Statistics Week 2026\, under the theme “Harmonizing Data\, Strengthening Resilience.” \nThe exhibition provided an excellent opportunity for the BBS to engage with students from various educational institutions\, including primary schools\, high schools\, and the University of Belize. Through these interactions\, the BBS shared information on its mandate\, services\, and important role in promoting standards\, metrology\, consumer protection\, and quality in Belize. \n🏆 We are proud to have received the Student’s Choice Award for Most Engaging Booth! DESCRIPTION:World Standards Day 2026 | Energy Efficiency  \n \n\n\n\nIn commemoration of World Standards Day\, today 14th October 2026\, celebrated under the theme “Clean and Affordable Energy”\, the Belize Bureau of Standards (BBS) with a focus on “Energy Efficiency” collaborated with Escuela Secundaria Técnica México and engaged with an educational awareness session with their technical students about Belize’s Energy Efficiency Labelling Scheme (EELS).\n\n\n\nThe session aimed to increase the students’ awareness of energy efficiency\, the importance of energy-saving practices\, and how energy efficiency labels can help consumers make informed decisions when purchasing electrical appliances.
