Annually, Metrologists from National Metrology Institutes and members of the Inter-American Metrology System (SIM) from the Latin America and the Caribbean gather for a week of meetings, forums and workshops focused on the Science of Metrology. Additionally, other experts and representatives of other organizations whose work depend on accurate Measurements, join in the week to actively participate and share knowledge, achievements, research and project results are shared, as well as the latest scientific and technological advances in terms of instruments, methods and measurement systems. One of the most important events of the week is the General Assembly of the SIM, a space in which representatives of member countries and international organizations agree on priorities, activities and new projects in favor of the metrological development of the continent.
